Boho Dreams of Backyard Beauty
I was delighted when asked by Cherry Blossom Events to design an eclectic, boho wedding suite for their styled bohemian wedding shoot by Laurels and Stars Photography. Everything about it was dear to my heart, and I absolutely loved to design it for them. Thank you for the opportunity, Cherry Blossom Events! The results of all the vendors involved turned out to be one of true beauty!
GOCCO Save-the-dates
Wine-themed wedding design ... what better way to say it than a save-the-date printed on cork?
Architectural French Designed Wedding Suite
Thank you Indie Wed Chicago for hooking me up with this fantastic couple. They were a real pleasure to work for. They both loved architecture and vintage maps, so I custom-designed this suite using antique artwork from French buildings. The color palette was gold, silver and black... very elegant. I decided to introduce a bit of GOCCO gold printing to add a layered texture to their pieces, that was proven to be just the right touch of metallic to compliment the metallic envelopes and paper. (A few quick snapshots ...)

Astrology Themed Wedding Photoshoot
While making some contacts with familiar event planners from like-minded Style Me Pretty vendors, I came in contact with XOXO event planner, Sonia Hopkins. I was thrilled to receive this email and compliments from such a highly respect planner.
I wanted to reach out to you after reviewing your website... I fell in love. Great work. Inspiring, fresh, creative, quality, everything I look for in a design company.
I wanted to see if you would be interested in partnering in an inspirational photo shoot we are doing for Flutter Magazine's Spring Astrology Issue. It's their most popular issue and sells out like gang busters!
We are promoting a new venue in Ojai, CA, Casa de Pajaros, a beautiful sprawling estate.
We are working with the following vendors:
Braedon Flynn
Tricia Saroya
Sarah Janks
Pretty Vintage Table
Ojai Vineyards
La Tavola LinenTo name a few. I'm currently looking to add a fresh name to the Santa Barbara/Ojai scene and thought your work was perfect!
Oh I was so so thrilled so much beauty in these vendors I was honored to be included as one of them! I dove into this and really was excited to impress her. Do to only a weekend turnaround time, I had to repurpose some of the design I've used in the past from my "Enchanted Evening" Bridal Show in Madison a couple years back, but it was the only way to get it done in time. I had spent some long hours on it originally and it was never really seen besides at the bridal show, so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to get some exposure for something I put so much work into originally. Sonia was looking for an ethereal stationary suite involving different textures (something I absolutely love!), and to feel "organic and natural, but extremely elevated for the sophisticated eye." I thought I can totally do that! That really sorta-kinda somes me up! I added an astrology twist to my enchanted evening design and changed the wording to included some astrological language like...
"Grant us o sky, clear sight, that thine vision might reachest the stars which belie thy future loves." an original from my dear poet husband.
and
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun. It is l ike a bridegroom coming out of his chamber ... – Psalm 19:1-6
So I changed colors to be dusty rose, purple, natural ivory, silver and tans ... added ethereal embellishments like a light feathery yarn and silver string, then got started on mockups ... 8 each of menus, place cards, seating cards and 4 programs and one invitation with response card. Whew ... I worked my arse off needless to say. I was proud of the results and excited to get them off to Sonia.
Waiting to see some snapshots of the pieces, I asked to see how it was going and if my art worked out well with all the other elements ... Sadly, I just her back from her and they did not use my pieces. Disheartened and unfortunate ... it turned out the colors were not working out well with the rest of the shoot so the were not able to use them. So, I wanted to show them off here... just a couple quick shots I took before packing them up ...
Parisian Bachelorette Party
Working with Gold Leaf Event in Aspen, CO, I designed some simple and elegant invitations for 15 of this brides lady friends to join her in Paris for a weekend. I would have loved to be one of her closest gals to receive this in the mail! Thank you Gold Leaf Event for the opportunity to work together!

IndieWed Chicago!
We are thrilled to be accepted into the 2015 IndieWed Wedding Show in Chicago. We were a part of the Milwaukee event held at the Harley Museum in 2012 and truly loved all the creative vendors and connections we made we wanted to see if we could get in the Chicago venue. It is a great fit for CP+D as we really do make each paper product independent and unique for every couple. If you are looking for inspiration for anything and want a taste of what your local talent has to offer, from hats to cigars, come check out IndieWed January, 31, 2015!
Fancy This
Dropped these beuts off last weekend ... a long day assembling all 120! Who designed these anyway?! ;) May your day be blessed dear Kaci + Ray, my time was well worth your happiness.
Gold Laced Romance
Gold is a popular accent this year with wedding invitations and this suite I'm working on has just the right amount. Looking forward to sending these off to the bride this week. Once she's able to send them to her much anticipated guests, I will be happy to show you the completed package!

I need to save this and read later. I could use a little romance!
Felt Flower Bouquet
I was searching for felt ribbon and came upon these lovely felt bouquets...
My dear mom always makes sure she tells me how much she loves this color, turquoise. "My bridesmaids dresses were this color!" She always says so adoringly. I have to admit, I am quite fond of it as well!

Bootlegger Shoot
A very talented bunch! So thankful to have been asked to have one of my invitation suites play a glimmering role of this glamorous shoot. This is so beautiful and so me ... anything about the 20s and 30s I find to be just gorgeous!
Overture Bridal Show Recap
We had an "enchanted" evening with the folks in Madison last night. Thank you so much, Amy Johnson, at
for inviting us to the show! Please take a glimpse into our event and enjoy! We look forward to working with some of the brides we met and hope to hear from you soon!
Brides, you may notice these handy little "CP Mighty Grips" in your bags, those are from us! We thought it was the perfect gift for you to remember us by as you try to unscrew that stubborn jar as a new bride.
As always, thank you so much to my dear, wonderful, stylin', handsome husband for helping me out so much and for always supporting me in all that I do. I enjoy having you with me and couldn't do it without you!
We were so delighted to be a part of the Enchanted Summer table with Personal Expressions. It was so fun to do the research for Shakespeare's, "A Midsummer's Night Dream" and have a part in the inspiration behind their designs! It was a result of the most gorgeous and complimentary table to add our menus, table number and escort bottles, (filled with nothing else but Rose Water and Orange Blossom Water, of course) to.
The cover was made of nothing else but the oldest writing material in existence today, papyrus. The window was trimmed with silver or gold Dresden, made in Germany, and overlayed with brown wax paper to reveal the inside which opened up from an accordian fold. The backside was duplexed with this beautiful marbled paper to mimic the inside bookcovers they used to use in vintage books, (the same paper you see on the escort cards).
In all the pieces I used a delicate handspun, silk tissue in the middle.
I couldn't resist to add an invitation book to the table designs ... made of birch, bound together with twine, trimmed with Dresden and using more of that beautiful ribbon, marbled paper and spun tissue.
I bid thee goodnight ...
A common question of the evening was, "Where are you located?". I wanted to mention, even though we aren't in the Madison area, we do work easily via email with pdfs or phone, so please don't let that deter you!
The Bridal Show at Overture
CP+D is blushing. We are so humbled and proud to have been personally invited to be a vendor at "The Bridal Show at Overture" in Madison on October 25. "The Bridal Show is Madison's first and only luxury wedding showcase. All of our vendors are by invitation only (approx. 60-70 vendors) as we want only the best for this event." How amazing that little ole' us will be a part of this sophisticated event!
"The Bridal Show is an exclusive event for the elite clientele and for select wedding professionals who set the standard of excellence in their respective fields"
Wow ... that is fancy talk ... again, so honored to be a part of this. We'll have a booth and not only that, but we'll be able to showcase our work at one of the four collaborative center tables. I'm told there is about 300+ brides through the door and over 1000+ attendees in total! What a great way to get our name out on the lips of brides and vendors alike! Thank you, Amy Johnson of One Fine Day, for inviting us and for all of your dear, sweet compliments about our work. The feelings are very much likewise.
See you all at the show! Get your tickets here. I just can't wait to see the beauty all around!!
In the meantime ... I best get some recent work photographed to share ... you're gonna love it! It's been so fun!
